Designs In Ortho is an online Orthodontic Dental Laboratory and we have been making quality appliances for 22 years. In addition to our prescription ordered orthodontic appliances, we now offer Athletic Mouth Guards, Bite Guards and Whitening Guards without a prescription and no visits to the dental office! DIO is recognized by the National Association of Dental Laboratories as a Certified Dental Laboratory and all of our laboratory technicians are Certified Dental
Technicians (CDT’s).
We make it easy for you with our impression kit that allows you to take your impression right from home. All you have to do is order the Guard you need right from this site and your kit will be on it’s way using these easy steps!
ONE….We send out your impression kit with written instructions included. You can also click on the impression video placed on our website allowing you to take a detailed impression that will produce a well fitting, custom Guard.
TWO….Take 15 minutes to read the instructions, watch the video and make your own great impression then follow the instructions enclosed in your kit. Send us a text or email if you need suggestions or help confirming the quality of your impression.
THREE….Package your impression according to our instructions then drop our envelope in your nearest USPS mailbox.
FOUR….Soon after we receive your impression, your Guard will be on it’s way to provide relief, whitening or protection for your teeth.
You may also find any accessories you may need to purchase such as whitening gel, cleaning solution, cases and more on our supply page.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my whitening guard from Designs In Ortho. The instructions and example video on their website made it easy to individually take a detailed impression. Additionally, their turnaround time to return my finished guard was quite impressive and the guard fit perfectly.
I received my bite guard roughly a month ago, and have used it nightly since I do my heaviest teeth grinding at night. I’ve been very pleased with it. It fits like a glove, my jaw never hurts in the morning, and I no longer have headaches when I wake up. Ordering online was effortless, and when I got the package in the mail, it was almost as if I was opening a gift because the packaging was so pretty. I needed some clarification about getting a good impression, but received an email promptly from the company with the information I needed. Creating the impression took only a few minutes. Being able to just pop it in my mailbox when it was done was so convenient. This is a great value.
The directions for me weren’t super clear. I was confused about which of the clays to add together. Other than that, the directions for the rest of the process were easy to understand and pleasant to follow. All my questions and concerns were addressed promptly and were super helpful. It seems that the staff at Designs in Ortho really care and want to help. The kit and guards that I received were easy and professionally presented. They seemed clean and well taken care of by the staff. The time frame was impressive and executed very well. I feel like I received my special guard quickly after sending in my impression. The guard shockingly fit perfect and was super comfortable. It stayed on overnight and wasn’t hard to take off. The effectiveness of the whitening guard was impressive and better than any other whitening products I have used. Also the LED light is fun :). Overall my experience with designs in ortho was amazing and I would recommend them to everyone!
